REGINALD J BRITTON

The family of Reginald Britton announce his peaceful passing at Bluewater Health on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the age of 92.  Reg was predeceased in 2011 by his wife of 57 years Patricia (Curry).

 
Reg is survived by his brother Stewart (Donna) Britton, nephew Brian (Donna)Britton and his great nephew Alex Britton.   He will be fondly remembered by niece Cathy Massey and her family and many extended Curry cousins.  Reg will also be remembered by his long time neighbours and golf club friends.

Reg was a retired CN Conductor and Brakeman.  He was a long time member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club.  

Reg had many interests.   He loved to hunt and fish along the St.Clair River, Lake Huron and on Lake St Clair at Mitchell's Bay.  He also enjoyed fly-in fishing in northern Quebec several times. He went on several excursions to Alberta hunting as well.  Reg was an avid golfer until this year. He was a wily euchre player and loved to shoot darts, and visit the casino. He raced a 1959 Austin Healey Sprite in the early 1960's winning a championship in the under one litre class in 1960.

 
Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Cemetery.   A private family memorial will take place.  Expressions of sympathy can be made to your charity of choice.
