BOURGET, Joseph Edmond Phillip

May 20, 1959 – September 22, 2025

With great sadness and broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of my beloved spouse Edmond (Ed) Bourget, aged 66 years.   Ed was a loving father to Chantelle and Dustin Bourget, and stepfather to Brett Horner and Lyndsay Theriault (Jesse).  Wonderful Papa to Tristan and Teegan, Brett’s sons Everett (Evie) and Cadence Theriault, children of Jesse and Lyndsay, Amara, Nicky, Will, and Chase, children of Chantelle.  Ed is survived by his spouse Carla who loved him dearly.  Also survived by his sister Carolann who shared a special bond with Ed, helping to raise him, and Carol’s husband Marcus Burrowes, also brother Bob and wife Caroline.  Ed had a special relationship with Bob, they worked out at the gym five days a week.  Survived by his niece Tammy Burrowes and her husband Doug, and nephew Steven Burrowes and wife Bernadette.   Predeceased by his parents Helen and Phillip Bourget, nephew Greg Bourget, son of Bob and Carol, Jessie Burrowes, daughter of Steven and Bernadette Burrowes.  Ed was a carpenter and proud member of local 1256 for over 20 years.   He was a painter and worked in security in his younger years.   Ed loved animals, and will be missed by his furry companions Lily and Molly.  Ed had a wonderful sense of humour, loved to read, and always had a can of Pepsi in his hand.   He would appreciate memorial donations to the Sarnia Humane Society in lieu of flowers in his name. He was a very kind and considerate person, and will be missed dearly by all.

Cremation has taken place.   A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 1:00 pm –3:00 pm upstairs.
