
CARPENTER, Kenneth Roy (Kenny)
July 5, 1944 – March 9, 2026
Kenneth, 81, passed away on March 9, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia, Ontario. Proud father to Stacy of Sarnia, Daryl (Tammy) of Stony Plain, Alberta, and Trevor of Stoke’s Bay. Grandpa to Danyka, Tylar, and Carissa. Predeceased by his brother Donald Carpenter (2023), sister in law Jeannette (2024), father Wilfred Carpenter (1980) and mother Dorothy Sheffer (Spenler)(2009). Survived also by nephews and many cousins. Ken was raised in Wilkesport before living many years in Corunna. He was a 30-year employee at Dow Chemical. Ken served as a member at the Corunna Legion for several years and enjoyed his time as a hockey trainer alongside his cousin Ronnie Sheffer for the Mooretown Comets Senior B Champs and Point Edward Senior AA Champs. Ken was known for his witty sense of humour, comic relief and generous nature. He hosted and formed many friendships in his garage to watch hockey games and listen to country music over beers. Many thanks to Dr. MacSweeney and the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Cemetery in Sarnia with interment to follow at Moore Union Cemetery in Mooretown, Ontario. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice.
