CATHCART, Margaret (nee Walters) Kirby

Peacefully Margaret (nee Walters) Kirby Cathcart has gone to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 100 years of age.  Passing peacefully at Sumac Lodge.  Predeceased by her husband Allan Kirby (1973)and Robert Cathcart (1987).   She sadly leaves behind her daughter Shelley Kirby Hales, Sharon Cathcart (Bryan), Judy and Darrell Jones of New Brunswick and her grandchildren Vicki & Alex DiGiovanni, Stacey & Jeff Mullen, and Brad Jones.   Predeceased by Robert Jones.  Great-grandmother of Drew Mullen, Brooke Mullen, and Jake Mullen.  Predeceased by her parents Morgan and Mary Anne Walters, her sisters Elizabeth Adams (late Bert), Lois MacArthur, Edna Mallory (late Bob), Claudia Ensign (late Dean), Iris Tilley (late Dennis), Ena Morphew (late Duke), and her brothers Evan Walters (late Bea), Bill Walters, Chris Walters (late Mabel), Harry Walters (late Jessie), Ed Walters (late Frankie), Phil Walters, and Shorty Walters (Audrey).   Survived by her sister in law Eva Walters.   Margaret had many nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.  She will be missed dearly.   Many thanks to all at Sumac Lodge who were so good to Mom and for providing excellent care to her, and to all at Shine At Home who took care of her when she was at home.   Interment to take place at Lakeview Cemetery on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm.  A Celebration of Life will follow at the Point Edward Ex-Servicemen’s Club from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.   For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
