Ed DeKelver
May 24, 2023

On May 24th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones Ed DeKelver passed peacefully at the age of 85.

Ed, also lovingly known as CRAZYHORSE, had a larger than life personality who lived for the love and laughter of all those around him. He was always up for new adventures and many who crossed his path became an instant life long friend. He was a one of a kind man who treated all strangers as "friends he hadn't met yet"

His strong work ethic made him a proud member of Local 663 for over 65 years as well as Co-owner of Corunna Fabricating. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who spent many years enjoying his time at Turkey Lake and forever planning his next traveling journey.

Ed's love of sports began early in his life with the Junior Knights and the Golden Bears. One of the highlights of his life was attending two super bowls with his late son Jamie.

He will be welcomed with open arms by many family and friends that have predeceased him. Those include his late wife Joan, and his son Jamie.

Beloved father of Kathryn DeKelver (Late-Brad), Tanya Barker (Barry), Grandfather to Caralee Larmand (James) Russel Barkers (Meghan) Josh Barker (Kat), Sarah Barker (Tony), Great grandfather to Jayden & Callen Larmand, Wesley Barker and Nash Barker.

A Public Celebration of Life will take place between 1:00pm-5:00pm on July 15th, 2023 at the Local 663 Union Hall on Confederation Street.

Until then please raise a cold Canadian in honour of our dad, "Crazy Horse"

We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 4th Floor of Bluewater Health for their amazing care and compassion.

In place of flowers please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
