FENNELL, Sheila Margaret (Kerr)

Peacefully after a brief illness, Sheila passed away November 10, 2025, at the age of 86 years at St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia.

Sheila will be dearly missed by Steve, her beloved husband of 66 years. She was the loving mother of Catherine (Tyler) Adamson, Brian (Deborah) Fennell, and Randy (Maureen) Fennell.

Devoted grandmother of Holly (Jonathan) Curts, Jack (Chelsea) Fennell, Kaylee (Will) Fennell, and Owen Fennell.  Sheila is also survived by her sister Frances (late Vic 2024) Pitkanen, brother Bruce (Renee) Kerr, and many nieces and nephews.   Predeceased by her parents, M. Marguerite (Southgate) Kerr (1979) and James A. Kerr (2012).

Sheila was a longtime member of Parker Street United Church, and more recently Dunlop Central United Church.   She formed treasured lifelong friendships and made many contributions to the community through her involvement with her church.

Arrangements entrusted to Lakeview Cemetery.  Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Kim and the staff of Bluewater Health Palliative Care and St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia.   As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia would be greatly appreciated by the family.
