Flanagan, Mary Elaine
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Elaine Flanagan. Elaine passed
away on 21st April, 2025, at the age of 94 years, having bravely battled dementia for two
years.
Predeceased by her husband Robert (Buddy) Flanagan and longtime companion Yvon
Boisselle.
Predeceased by her brothers Harry Miles and Edward Miles and parents Alfred and Doris
Miles.
Elaine is survived by her sister Barbara Ann Arnold and brother in law Tony Arnold, also
survived by her nephew Neil Foster and grand children Max and Samantha Foster. Also survived by many cousins in Montreal.
Elaine was born in Montreal Quebec on 25th April, 1931, to Alfred and Doris Miles and
grew up in Lachine. She was always very independent working at Petro Fina in Montreal
for over 30 years.
Elaine spent many years, after retirement, living for five months of the year in Daytona
Beach Shores in Florida where she enjoyed playing golf and tennis. The summer months
were spent in St Sauveur and St Adele in Quebec where she also enjoyed her sports.
A special Thank You to Dr. Hall and all the staff at Afton Park Place and especially the
Nurses, PSWs and Support staff on Stonehaven for all the care Elaine received over the
last two years and making Elaine’s final days as comfortable as possible.
Cremation has already taken place by courtesy of Lakeview Cemetery.
Interment will be a private family gathering at Hillside Cemetery in Morin Heights,
Quebec.
