Frances Patricia “Pat” Frizzell (nee Kettle)

 Our family is heartbroken to announce that Mom passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on July 20, 2026.

 She will be greatly missed and forever remembered for her warmth, kindness, creativity, overwhelming generosity, loving nature and easy smile. Her exceptional baking and cooking of homemade meals, delicious treats, Christmas decorating and her generous hospitality were expressions of her love that created lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to have been graced by her presence. When we were young Mom was like a second mother to many of our childhood friends. There were always surrogate children around somewhere.

 Mom grew up just outside Sarnia with her parents and four brothers before joining the military and being transferred to CFB Cold Lake. This beautiful outgoing military lady met and married a handsome serviceman, our Dad, Hugh. From there they had five children while being stationed in numerous cities across Canada. Eventually, they left that nomadic military life for another as snowbirds wintering in Corpus Christi and spending summers in Canada alternating between east and west to visit family.

After Dad passed, Mom moved back to her roots, Sarnia.

 Mom is survived by her children, Darlene, Janet (Tim), Cheryl (Clayton), Paul (Sue), and Karin. Grandmother of Ben, Jason (Tanya), Drew (Kerri-Ann), Serena (Warren), Pamela (Zac), Jessica (Steve), Chelsea (Netty), Taylor (Sabrina), Matthew (Chelsea), Stephanie (Reece), Katie, Nicholas and Chase (Katherine). Great grandmother of Asher, Kira, Ryder, Oakley, Ethan, Stanley, Leonidas, Wradley, Allison and Keston; brothers Ralph (Lynn), Larry (Karen), sister-in-law Norma (Dick), and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada. She is predeceased by her husband Hugh Frizzell, brother Wayne (Betty), and Richard “Dick”.

 Though she is no longer with us, we are left with many wonderful memories. Her love, wisdom and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

 The family will have a private graveside ceremony.
