HAMILTON, Julie Elizabeth (Cook)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julie Elizabeth (Cook) Hamilton on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the age of 73 years.

Predeceased by her parents Clair (1996) and Beverley (2020) Cook. Survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Hamilton (Alan), sisters Cheryl Berger and Joan Andrew (Bill), nieces Noelle Brady (Jason), Trina Fleury (Derek), and Heather Quick (Geoffrey), great nieces and nephews Abby Wright, Tanner, Tyson and Taelynn Skotcher, and step grandchildren Kyra and Kali James.

A lifelong resident of Sarnia, and a teacher with the Lambton Kent District School Board for over 30 years, she often reminisced about her students, speaking fondly of every one. She took pride in trying to make a difference and a positive impact on every child. Growing up, she attended Dunlop Church, where she was a member of the explorers, and sang solo in the choir. She always enjoyed watching the Lake Huron sunsets and all of the sailboats and ships. She loved music and going to concerts, her favorite ones being LP, Bryan Adams, Blue Rodeo and Elton John.

She enjoyed the company of her dearest lifelong friends Janice, Dixie, Nancy and Rosanna. A special thank you to Pat and Terry for always ensuring her odd jobs were taken care of, and she was always stocked up on diet Coke and chocolate.

In honour of Julie's memory, donations of sympathy can be made to the Bluewater Health Foundation or the Woman’s Interval Home.

Private interment to take place at Lakeview Cemetery; a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Please check back for updates at www.lakeviewcemetery.ca
