LADEMER, Doris Margaret

1934 – 2026

Doris Margaret Lademer has found peace at the end of her journey.  Our darling mother passed away on July 27, 2026, to be reunited with her beloved husband, F. Walter Lademer (2005).  Mom will forever be lovingly remembered by her children, John Lademer (Lynne), Julie Lademer-Down (late Tom), Joe Lademer (Diane), her grandchildren Michael (Jordana) Bannon, Katelynn Bannon, Santino Winteringham, Ali Winteringham, Paul (Patty) Matuzic, Margaret Matuzich, Christine (Will) Scott, Danielle Lademer (Ken Freeman) and her 19 great-grandchildren.

Doris was the eldest daughter of Mervin and Muriel Stephenson and she leaves behind her sisters, Shirley Davidson and Patricia Allen.  Mom cherished all of her nieces and nephews.

Mom will be remembered for her sweet demeanour, sharp wit and wicked sense of humour.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Kim, the emergency room staff, and the excellent care given to Mom in the palliative care unit; the staff were truly amazing.   A heartfelt thank you to all of the nurses, PSWs and the many volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice.

Anyone who had the pleasure to meet Mom always came away with a story.   We would like you to come and share your stories with us on August 10, 2026, between 12:00pm and 2:30pm the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, 500 Errol Road West, Sarnia, Ontario.   Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Cemetery.   Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia or to the charity of one’s choice.
