
In Loving Memory of Logan MacKenzie (“Logie”)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Logan MacKenzie (“Logie”), who passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 81.
Born on April 22, 1945, in Sarnia, Ontario,
Logie will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Yvonne MacKenzie; his beloved daughters, Nicole Lynch (Brian), Laurie Émond, and Michelle Denomy (Chris Clark); his cherished grandchildren, Connor Elnicki (Brittany), Jordan Elnicki (Rachel), Onnika Blake (Roshane), and Taria Kjeldsen; and his adored great-grandchildren, Georgia, Gracie, and Olivia.
He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Victor Goguen (Jeanette), Linda Joyce (Harry), Theresa Brazeau (Kenny), and Steven Goguen (Beth).
Logie was predeceased by his father, Logan MacKenzie; his mother, Margaret MacKenzie (Grimes); his father-in-law, Gilbert Goguen; his mother-in-law, Roland Goguen (Coté) ; and his brother-in-law, Maurice Goguen. Logie lived a life marked by love, dedication, and kindness. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, family man, and friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and joy to all who knew him.
Logie worked as a crane operator for many years and took great pride in his work. Outside of his career, he enjoyed spending time in his workshop, boating, and riding his Harley trike. He was known for his remarkable ability to fix or build almost anything, his quick wit and sense of humor, and his unwavering love and support for his family.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Logie’s life will be held at a the Corunna Legion on July 5, 2026 from 1-4 pm.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lily and the palliative care team for the compassionate care and support they provided to Logie, both at home and in the hospital. We would also like to sincerely thank the many friends and relatives who visited, shared their time and companionship, and brought food during his illness. Your kindness, generosity, and support brought great comfort to Logie and his family and will never be forgotten.
Logie’s legacy of hard work, generosity, ingenuity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
