July 16, 1947 to  August 21, 2025

Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Services on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in her 78th year, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Dennis Brace. Loving mother of Leon (Julie), Roman (Tanya), and the late Nicole (March 15, 2015). Loving grandmother to Gabrielle, Benjamin, Leah, and Lucas.

Evelyn was born in Dryden, Ontario and spent her early life living in Vermillion Bay, Ontario. She moved to Sarnia to accompany her first husband, Boris (Ben), where they settled and raised a family. She worked for many years at Bayer, Lanxess, and Polysar; eventually retiring in 2008.

‍

After retirement, Evelyn enjoyed life as a snowbird with her second husband, Dennis. Together they road-tripped during the winter season to Yuma, Arizona. She enjoyed golf, reading, fishing, gardening, time with her grandchildren and the long highway.

‍

Evelyn was an accomplished musician. She played the accordion and organ as well as regularly sang with the Sweet Adelines for many years.

‍

Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will follow at a later date. The family wishes to extend thanks to the caring staff of Twin Lakes Assisted Living. Their support allowed Evelyn to live independently in her later years. Also, to the ICU Team at Bluewater Health for their compassion and care in her final days.
