It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Surman (nee Cranmer), beloved partner and devoted mother and grandmother.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald Surman (May 17, 2010), she leaves behind her loving and devoted partner, Winston Nickles, and her cherished children: Justin (Jaime), Jen (Andy), Jonathan, and Jamie (Emily). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Holden, Faris, Charles, Sam, Delilah, Ben, and Brady, who brought immense joy to her life.

Predeceased by her Parents Don and Doreen (Robinson) Cranmer. Treasured sister of Maureen (Gary 2016), Brenda (Mark), John (Trish), Steve (Suzie), Deby (Don) and many nieces and nephews.

She had a special place in her heart for her dog, Jax, who was always by her side. She also loved spending time playing bingo, where she enjoyed the fun, the friendships, and the excitement of the game.

Family meant everything to her, and she will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she shared with those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to also extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers and staff at Trillium Villa. It was always comforting to visit Mom and, beyond the wonderful care she received, to witness the laughter, quick-witted conversations, and the meaningful connections and deep relationships that all meant so much to her. The care, comfort and dignity provided to mom during her stay will never ever be forgotten.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
