In Loving Memory of Peter Wasko

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Wasko, who passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at the age of 72, surrounded by his family. 

Loving husband to Denise and proud father to Danielle (Troy) and Greg (Mackenzie), grandfather to Sophie, Bridget, Gabrielle, Tessa and Noah. 

Peter is predeceased by his parents, Wasyl (Bill) and Ruth Wasko, and his beloved granddaughter, Bridget.

Peter will be remembered for his genuine warmth, his kindness and his sense of humour. He loved a good story - especially if it meant bringing laughter to those around him. He found joy in the things he loved most: his family and friends, cheering for Notre Dame, a good baseball game, music, spending time out on the boat, or simply going for a drive. 

Above all, Peter will be remembered for his love of his family and friends and the ways he showed it. He was always doing something for someone simply because he was thinking of them. His thoughtfulness left an impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mousseau, Dr. Lilly and the Bluewater Health Palliative Care and Med A Teams for the compassion, dignity and exceptional care they provided to Peter and his family during his final days. Their kindness and support will always be remembered.

Peter leaves behind a lifetime of stories and love that will continue to live on through his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will beheld privately to remember Peter.
